📣 Important Message

Take over the whole screen with a family message. Choose the tone, add a subject, description, and optional photo, and when it should show.

These show in the Household panel only during their day + time window. Family can also add these from the QR page.

📅 Calendars

Each person/team is one feed. Paste an iCloud "published" link or a Google "secret iCal" link. Color is how their events show on the dashboard.

🖼️ Background

Pick the dashboard background. Uploaded photos are stored on your Worker and served to every screen.

📸 Family Photos & News

Upload family photos — they rotate in the dashboard's right-hand panel every ~30 seconds. Photos are auto-resized for fast loading and stored on Cloudflare R2. Use ◀ ▶ to reorder.
News shows the top 10 stories (national + Seattle / Maple Valley when available) with a photo, headline, and summary — each story holds ~20 seconds. “Switch every” controls how the tile alternates between a photos block and a news block.

🖥️ Screens

Each dashboard Pi checks in every few seconds. Reload after a change, reboot if it's stuck, or point a screen at a different URL. (Needs the agent installed on the Pi.)

Connect a new screen
Screens show up here automatically once their agent checks in — there's nothing to type on this page. To set up a new Pi:
  1. Image an SD card and boot the Pi on your network.
  2. Copy the Pi-Setup folder to it, then run:
    cd ~/Pi-Setup && sudo bash bootstrap.sh "YOUR-AGENT-TOKEN"
  3. For an additional screen (so it doesn't clash with the hallway one), give it its own static IP like 10.0.1.51 and its own name — for example:
    sudo bash agent/install-agent.sh "office" "Office Dashboard" "YOUR-AGENT-TOKEN"
The agent token is the same on every screen. Grab it from any existing Pi with:
sudo grep TOKEN /etc/munson-agent.env

🌙 Night Dimming

Softly dims every screen overnight — the hallway Pi and the upstairs iPad. Screens never turn off; they just darken. Changes apply within a minute or two.

Download a copy of your calendars, reminders, background choice, message, and settings — restore it anytime. (Uploaded photos aren't included in the file.)

🔗 Family Reminder QR

Print this or stick it on the fridge. Anyone in the family scans it, enters the family PIN once, and can add or change reminders.

📸 Family Photos QR

Same family PIN. Scanning this lets anyone add or remove the rotating family photos from their phone — and nothing else in the control panel.
